As the title reads, I am off (on vacation) for the next couple of weeks (and dont read too much into the word couple). :)) The updates on the main blog will be less frequent but you can check out the links section (tab out to Etc on the side bar) for interesting tidbits.
In other news, my buy-me-a-plane fund is still on. As of yesterday there were 3 substantial contributions (cooking upma for me for life, and the other 2 were more intim.. err.. personal in nature) ;). So I just want to say that contributions in kind are also being accepted at this time. Please contact me if you want to donate.

 Introducing Flickr, the all new slicksocialnetworking service. I know crazy new things keep coming out but try Flickr, and you will see what you are missing. Its friendster + messenger + chatboard + email + yahoogroups combined. But what I like about it is that it is totally web based! No downloads and no installation. Just create a profile and you are ready to go! Of course it is in beta phase but its still quite quite good! My id is piper5ul @ yahoo dot com so look me up and add me! I have already created an IIT group.. want to create a CMU group too. |

Update: The bid is open to only legal US residents! But if you contribute to my buy-me-a-plane fund, I can get it for you and we can share the ride. I need to go to the office at 8:00 everyday. Pick up is at 6:00 pm. Shouldnt be too bad even if you are across the pond.
